The following tips and tricks can be used to increase your productivity in JPEGCompress.
- Internet Explorer
Unless you turned this feature off, when you setup JPEGCompress it will automatically add the "Open with JPEGCompress" menu item to the contextual menu that pop's up when you right click an image within a web page. This feature will automatically download that image and open it with JPEGCompress.
- Large Images
The digital cameras of today will often give you the largest photo size possible, but when compressing your photos you will notice that they don't benifit from normal quality levels. The best way to overcome this is to resize your image to something a little smaller, like 640 by 480. This will often give you smaller file sizes, while still being able to enjoy the photo you took.
- Change your Connection Type
You can see download estimations for other types of Internet connections by clicking the arrow right next to the download time estimation text. A menu will appear and present you with the different connection type estimators that JPEGCompress supports.
